Environmental Summer
Camp!
July 21 - 25, 2008
An experience that no child can resist. Environmental
summer camp is designed for students having completed grades 4 through
6.

Join your friends for classes
on Fossils; Wildlife; Computer Stream Study; Weather Class; Leather
Crafts; Woodworking; Gun Safety; Team Building Low Ropes
Course; Muzzle Loading; Canoe Safety; Swimming; Riflery and Archery. And this is
just the first day!
Over the next three days you will study: River
Ecology - canoe in the calm waters of the Nolichucky river as you learn
about your surroundings; Forest Ecology - take a trip on the Appalachian
Trail; Visit the University of Tennessee Experiment Station - learn more
than you can imagine about agriculture, hydroponics, water quality
testing, macroinvertabrate count, waste water treatment and meteorology.
Evening activities include: swimming and fishing.
Be sure to bring extra money for the leather
shop and woodworking activities.
The fun doesn't stop when it gets dark! Take
a night hike in the forest and in a wetland. Study the wonders of
the night sky in an astronomy class.
Open to the first 120 students who send in their
reservation, so don't delay.
Camp
Explore Environmental Summer Camp fee is $225.00.
Non-refundable
deposit of $50.00 required to reserve spot in camp. Remainder
payable before July 15, 2008.
